Rolls-Royce Ghost PrismIt shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the folks at Rolls-Royce are tuned into the worlds of luxury design and fashion, considering so many of their clients are the bellwethers of what’s in vogue. Over the years designing and executing countless bespoke commissions, the team at Goodwood have developed a keen sense about trends and styles, and they’ve used this insider knowledge to inform the gorgeous machines they make.

In that spirit, Rolls-Royce has decided to do a highly limited run of one of their most beloved modern cars. Enter the Ghost Prism.

How Is the Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism Different?

In keeping with the contemporary design theme, the Ghost Prism can be distinguished by its use of subtle accent colors, which pop amidst the bold primary body paint. In their announcement of the Ghost Prism, the example Rolls-Royce used was a Gunmetal Grey finish. Which was achieved through an exhaustive 10-step process involving four different layers and 16 hours of polishing. This bespoke paint is then complemented by one of four colors featured on the coachline, bumper, and brake calipers, providing a flash of panache that’s elegant in its subtlety.

These four accent colors are the hallmark of the Ghost Prism. They include:

  • Phoenix Red
  • Forge Yellow
  • Mandarin
  • Turchese

In addition, the usual brightwork on the read lid and grille have been given special treatment as well, resulting in an ashy dark gray effect they call Burnout. Much like the paintwork, this is the fruit of a painstaking process in which the metal is abraded, primed, painted, and polished by Rolls-Royce artisans to craft a piece that’s both understated and eye-catching.

Despite the default aesthetics of the Ghost Prism’s exterior, rest assured that buyers will have carte blanche to customize the interior to their heart’s desire. This is also in keeping with the aim to pay homage to the world of modern art—tastefully reserved on the outside, and absolutely otherworldly on the inside. Rolls-Royce has stated that early Ghost Prism commissions have featured light and vibrant palettes. It’s all tied together by the chosen accent color twinkling through the 1,040 handmade perforations of the famous Starlight Headliner.

As a nod to 2024 being the marque’s 120th anniversary, only 120 Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism models will be made, forever guaranteeing that this is one of the rarest Rolls-Royce models ever created.
