There’s no denying that a consistent waxing schedule is essential to keeping your premium bespoke car in good shape—especially if you’re dealing with that South Florida sunshine like us. Whether your Rolls-Royce Ghost is brand new or a bona fide collector’s car, it deserves to lustrate like its creators intended.

Of course, not all car wax is created equal, and your Rolls-Royce deserves the very best of the best. There are many different kinds of car waxes, too. Carnauba, hybrid, or synthetic? Spray, liquid, or paste? With so many options on the market, how do you choose?

Well, one way to go about it is to ask the experts.

We’ve combed through all the reviews online so you don’t have to, and we present to you our list of the best automotive waxes, sealants, and polishes of 2024.

Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze Show Car Glaze

We’ll start our list out with a familiar favorite. Meguiar’s is a household name in the world of professional automotive products, and the odds are fairly good that your favorite car guru uses one of their products as their preferred wax. It dries clear and white, is safe for all finishes, and is perfect to achieve that perfect shine before you show off your ride.

Collinite No. 476s Super DoubleCoat Auto Wax

If protection is what you’re after, it doesn’t get much better than this one right here. Collinite bills it as their most durable, and they promise up to 10 months of all-weather protection, making this wax well worth the slightly higher asking price. The professionals at Car and Driver also voted it as their pick for the best paste car wax overall this year.

Formula 1 Carnauba Car Wax

For those seeking a solid amount of protection without spending hours waxing on and waxing off, F1 is imminently easy to work with and effectively restores a high gloss to your paint job. The consistency is said to be somewhere between a paste and a liquid, which circumvents the need to warm it up before applying like other paste waxes.

P21S Concours-Look Carnauba Wax

We’ve actually recommended this one before, and Motor1 hailed this product as the best car wax, saying it was very easy to apply in their review. The brand is well-known for making waxes that deliver a streak-free glean, and it doesn’t tend to leave white marks on the car’s soft surfaces like many others on the market do. It’s a big more pricey than competitors—usually anywhere from 45 to 65 bucks—but a little goes a long way.

Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Acrylic Black Wax

This wax is specially formulated for black cars, making it a bit of a niche product. Some may turn their nose up at it in favor of brands with a bit more clout, but if you’re on a budget and want to restore your pitch-colored car to a nice sheen, it the ceramic and acrylic components offer solid protection and scratch coverage.

Griot's Garage Best of Show Spray Wax

Another honorable mention from Car and Driver, Griot’s is widely heralded as one of the best spray waxes available. It may not have quite the longevity of comparable paste or liquid-based waxes, but its formula imparts an excellent shine and feel, making it perfect for a pre-car show spot treatment.

Adam's Polishes Buttery Wax

This is a fantastic liquid wax, and the nozzle applicator on the bottle makes for a satisfyingly ergonomic experience. It also features a strawberry banana scent, which you may either love or hate. Bear in mind, many reviewers recommend wearing gloves with this one, because it tends to leave a lasting stain on the hands.

CSI Q-7 Wax

Motor1 claimed Q-7 as their favored spray wax, making it another good candidate for touch-ups and car owners looking for a quick shammy before an afternoon cruise. It also appears to offer a superior level of protection compared to most other sprays.

WeatherTech TechCare Carnauba Gel Wax

The WeatherTech name is widely known in the car business for their protective products, and we included it on this list because it’s a great middle-of-the-road wax that’s easy to apply and provides a good level of UV shielding, making it perfect for beginners looking to delve into the world of car waxes.

Migliore: Primo Carnauba Wax

Here, we have another product we’ve previously recommended. That’s because it’s considered the best of the best, and it’s one of the most well-kept secrets in the industry. Primo is made of nearly 50% carnauba, and so while it may not last quite as long, it boasts unparalleled shine and protection. The main drawback is that it’s incredibly pricey as far as waxes go—about a hundred bucks for a 6-ounce tin. Can you really put a price on keeping your Rolls-Royce Phantom looking as glossy as possible, though?
